At Tune-Up Seafoods, we deliver the freshest produce to restaurants and individuals. We started operations in July 2011 in Grays and although a relatively new player in the market, our seafood and our service are now well known, allowing us to expand to new locations in Basildon and Essex

Our business is split into two main parts:

  • Retail: Focused on providing a variety of frozen seafood directly to consumers in Thurrock , Basildon and the whole of Essex.

  • Wholesale: Providing packaged frozen seafood to restaurants, caterers and fish and chip shops.

We've grown to become market leaders in the frozen seafood business and are fast becoming a well-known company throughout Essex. To find out more, get in touch or visit us.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

We all know that we should try and eat a bit better, but where do you start? Eat more fish. Fish is a great source of high quality protein. Low in fat, it's rich in essential omega 3 which can help to maintain a healthy heart and lower blood pressure. Packed full of vitamin D, it's great for helping to keep bones, teeth and muscles healthy too! What are you waiting for? Get your order in.

Should I eat more shellfish?

Yes! Shellfish such as prawns, mussels and scallops have high levels of selenium. It's a powerful antioxidant which can help to boost your immune system. There's also plenty of zinc, iodine and copper in there too, which are all essential parts of a well-balanced diet. We've got some handy hints and tips on how to cook everything properly and keep all those fantastic flavours.

How much should i eat?

Most of us should have more seafood in our diet, especially oily fish. Government guidelines recommend at least 2 portions of fish a week, including 1 of oily fish. Steamed, grilled or baked is best and a healthier alternative to frying. Give us a ring and get your order in or better yet, pop down and see us. You can order what you need or buy bulk and pop it in the freezer, whichever's easier
